On Sunday, the QHSS Cardinal Robotics Team competed against 23 other teams from across NYC in the FIRST Tech Challenge and ranked 7th! After winning 3 out of their 5 qualifying matches, the Cardinals became one of eight teams that advanced to the semifinals where they competed head-to-head with Stuyvesant. While our team did not advance onto the championships, we gave an incredible performance as a first-year team and in recognition of our perseverance in the face of many setbacks this year, we won the Judge's Choice Award!

Special recognition for the Team Captain Matthew Siu (senior) who has been building the QHSS Robotics program since his freshman year and the other student leaders: Team Vice President Michael Clarke (senior), Programming Team Lead Benjamin Kushmakov (junior), Constructions Team Lead Devin Zhang (senior), and Communications Team Lead Yuxuan Lin (senior).

Special thanks to all the families and the QHSS community that supported the team through donations and encouragement. We couldn't have done it without you!

Cardinal Robotics plans to continue to build the robotics community at QHSS. Keep a lookout for future events. You can follow us on our Instagram @cardinalroboticsteam
